Gantumur Tardai earned his degree from Ulaanbaatar Polytechnic University in 1989, specializing as a mining electrician and mechanical engineer. He holds a Master of Technical Science and serves as a Consultant Engineer in Mongolia.
His career commenced at the Sharyn Gol coal mine in 1989, where he dedicated eight years to roles including electrical fitter, relay adjustment engineer, and mechanical engineer in the coal section. Since 1997, he has held the position of project and supply specialist for a government agency of Ulaanbaatar city.
In 2000, he founded Ochir Undraa LLC, which has grown into Ochir Undraa Group. Now in its 23rd year, the company is a leading national entity with private investments across mining, construction, infrastructure, chemical, and financial sectors.
